More good news for renewal energy!  The recently enacted Stimulus bill provides for a credit equal to 30 percent of qualifying expenditures for geothermal heat pump, small wind energy and solar water heating properties.  These renewable energy systems are now on par with solar electric which as of January 1, 2009 the credit was uncapped.  Qualified geothermal, wind turbines, and solar water heating are now also uncapped.  Previously, they had been capped at low as $2,000.  For example, install a qualified  $60,000 geothermal heat pump(s) system in your home you are eligible to receive an $18,000 tax credit.  You net cost, after tax credit, of installation of the $60,000 system is hence $42,000. There truly has never been a better time to build or retrofit your home to make it a Schulz Homes hybrid home.
